I have a EXT 3r and it keeps changing gears as I ride on its own. I like keeping it on 3 but it keeps going to two or one while on the handle it says three the other gears are just as bad and if not worse. I am scared of my bike right now. It particals throws me off my bike. I don't want to ruin my bike. This is the second issue I have had with my bike and the first issue has still it been resolved I am getting really annoyed with this we paid really good money for these for me to be having problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Margaret, we are sorry you are having problems with your StreetStrider 3r. In terms of your shifter, it is very common for shifter cables to stretch with use, which will cause the transmission to slip a bit. In our StreetStrider Workshop video called Working on the ETX 3r Rear Wheel, you can see, at 5:17, Dr Dave describing how to test the transmission function of the 3r, and how to adjust it with the finger-turn of a screw to function correctly. You can find this video on the Support page of our website: http://www.streetstrider.com/index.ph.... Scroll down to the 12th video.
Please let us know if this helps. Also, please let us know your other problem. -

A Stilz Stoudamire was suppose to ship to me two black rings for the cranck shaft Mine has come off and and its stripped. My boyfriends on his summit came off on a ride. We are really careful and always check it we were riding at night and when we got back we noticed his was gone we have only had the bike for a few weeks. and we have a lot of issues with the tech area. including getting responses to emails and phone calls. I am very disappointed. My bike has been sense I have gotten it with no ring on the crank shaft and no way of pulling if off to break her down to take her out and now my boyfriends is the same!!!! I am very fustrated. This gentlemen called me and left a message saying if the ring was missing then to call and email him and he can ship it out the next day and now in an email i get told he now has the check if its in the shop to be able to ship and i have had zero communication if I am going to have a longer wait or if they have been shipped and we are both getting very irriated about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please email me on my personal email if you wish to discuss or see emails between the two of us. princesstaquma@yahoo.com

I understand your frustration with our customer service and I apologize. We certainly want you and your boyfriend to enjoy all the benefits of your StreetStriders, including the ability to fold them for transportation. I will follow up with Stilz on Monday to make sure the one-key release rings are sent to you. When you get the rings, please follow the instructions in the StreetStrider Workshop video called Maintenance - Nuts and Bolts 2, found on our StreetStrider Facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.p.... Dave shows how to install the rings at 8:40.

I have had a hard time with customer service too.
I've had my strider since March and my husband has had his for about 2 weeks.
I had an issue with the bell crank and was told by Tech Support that it was my fault not there's.
My husband had to drill and tap it to make it work.
I had already spend enough and didn't want to have to buy another bell crank.
My husband's strider had a broken brake lever when it arrived at the bike shop.
After repeated calls and voice messages left by me and the bike shop, I finally got a hold of Stilz on Friday.
He said he would ship a new lever out Monday.
When you are buying a strider, customer service is so helpful.
What happened to service after the sale?
We love our striders and there are lots of helpful videos out there.
Call me old fashioned but I like to talk to a real person when I have a problem.
I'm getting tired of leaving voice messages and never getting a return call.
I make sure to call during business hours.
I seem to get a response quicker on this site. -
