Has the company considered trainers to help a new strider get acclimated. The trikke company has trainers available who have attended formal company sponsored advanced training sessions including advanced mechanical instruction. Both the trikke and the StreetStrider are unique HPV's, having a trainer may help potential new striders commit.
Affiliates would be the logical choice for this opportunity.

You know, I was hoping that the sales associates would provide this kind of service, but there is only one in Wisconsin, and on the opposite side of the state. I had my local bike shop put it together for me, but they had even more trouble trying to ride it than I did.
Together, what part of Wi are you from? I'm in LaCrosse.-
I live in Reedsburg. Near Wisconsin Dells.
I think I'm the only one around here that has a SS. -

I’m
confident
I've been discussing the acclimation with a seasoned strider, he went through what some of us are experiencing. I say some because there are those that can ride adequately right out of the box.
I agree with Dave in that we are using muscles that we haven't used extensively before, it is a process I have experienced before in various methods of exercise, which in fact this is, exercise. The body needs some time to adapt. For example I couldn't go very far on a trikke until I adapted to the method needed to propel this HPV. Same in weight training, it's all about progression.
Presently I am progressing, that's what the body can do. -

Here are two How-to-ride videos, one from the Venice Beach location and the other as a work-in-process. Maybe these will help a little.

How to Ride the StreetStrider from StreetStrider on Vimeo.
Learning how to ride the StreetStrider, the first elliptical cross trainer on wheels, is simple. This video shows you the three systems to learn - brakes, gears, and lean-to-steer - and the how-to-ride basics. Although Stilz, an expert Strider, is not wearing a helmet in this video, we recommend you wear a helmet when riding a StreetStrider. The StreetStrider ...the elliptical that MOVES you!
